The ideal candidate will be experienced in an administrative role and be able to demonstrate good numeracy; IT skills and be a professional point of contact for clients.

The successful candidate will administer sales and service information alongside an established customer services team.

The role sits in a fast-paced transport office whose team ensures that customers’ requests are acted upon in a timely and professional way. Customer Services experience is preferred but not essential.

Main Duties

  • Customer job input & pricing
  • Deal with customer queries and job amendments
  • Answering incoming telephone calls
  • Booking in of customer deliveries
  • Dealing with document requests
  • Effective use of a customer contact database
  • Process and communicate additional charges to customers
  • Log and report issues
  • Assist in development of the Customer Services Department’s capability and competency
  • Production of reports/sales quotations
  • Additional duties may be added to the role over time to allow the ideal candidate to gain more experience within the business operations.

Terms of Employment

The hours of work will be 40 hours per week Monday to Friday covering the hours of 08.00 – 17.00hrs. Up to 1 Hour each day may be taken as a lunch break, this will not count towards the working hours. The position will be based at our Head Office, Ridgeway, Aycliffe Business Park, Newton Aycliffe. Salary of £20,000 per annum, with 25 days annual leave plus 8 statutory holidays. Closing date for applications is Friday 18th March 2022.
