CAT C – Pallet Distribution Drivers

Successful candidates will be expected to:

• Have held a car license for a minimum 2 years. 

• Have a clean license.

• Have good communication skills and be able to demonstrate good customer-facing skills.

In-turn we will:

• Provide tuition and mentorship from both ROSPA trained driver trainers and experienced HGV drivers on various aspects of professional goods vehicle driving.

Remuneration package:

• Overtime for all roles is payable after 50hrs in a week where 5 days are worked; 40hrs in a week where 4 days are worked, 30hrs in a week where 3 days are worked, etc.

• Full uniform and PPE Provided.

• 20 days annual leave plus 8 statutory holidays, with paid breaks.

Other benefits for driving staff:

• 1 x Driver CPC: Course costs, VAT and upload fees may be claimed each calendar year.

• Driver Medicals: Medicals for HGV licence renewals can be arranged and paid for by the Company or may be claimed as an expense. 

• Career development opportunities:

Licence Upgrade:  An opportunity for you to transfer from CAT C to CAT C+E following a minimum of 6 months employment and a good record, the company will pay for HGV driver training and test fees to upgrade your license – this will be under a training agreement. Part of these fees may be reclaimed if employment ends within 12 months of the test date.

Further opportunities include fully funded ADR licence training and refreshers may be provided subject to a good work record. Opportunities to undertake train-the-trainer courses, provide driver training/assessments are available for experienced time-served drivers.
