At Stiller, we’re always looking for ways to make our logistics operations more efficient and environmentally responsible.
As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, our Fleet Engineering Manager, Scott Woodhouse, recently travelled to the DAF Experience Centre in Eindhoven for an in-depth look at the latest developments in electric vehicle (EV) technology.
The visit included an informative presentation from the DAF team, offering valuable insight into the company’s Electric Vehicle (EV) programme, from the engineering behind their vehicles to the infrastructure supporting them.
Scott also had the opportunity to explore the DAF factory and take part in an exciting test drive of the full range of DAF EVs on their dedicated track. This hands-on experience gave a real sense of how DAF’s electric fleet performs in practice and how it could integrate into real-world logistics operations.
The trip provided a great opportunity to learn more about how electric vehicles could complement our existing fleet, helping to reduce emissions and support our wider sustainability goals.
As technology continues to evolve, understanding these systems first-hand helps us prepare for the transition to cleaner, more efficient transport solutions.
We’d like to extend our thanks to Ford & Slater, our local DAF dealership, for the kind invitation and for hosting Scott throughout his visit. Their continued support and partnership are invaluable as we explore the future of sustainable transport within our industry.
This visit forms part of our wider commitment to sustainability, from exploring lower-emission transport options and improving energy efficiency across our sites, to investing in responsible waste management and recycling practices.
By taking proactive steps across every area of our business, we’re continuing to drive progress towards a more sustainable future for logistics.
