A Practical Approach to Safety During No Falls Week

At Stiller, safety is part of the day-to-day operation across our warehousing, distribution and transport activities.
This week, we have been supporting No Falls Week, using the opportunity to focus on practical conversations around how falls can happen during everyday work and, more importantly, the steps that help prevent them.
Across the business, teams have been involved in discussions and demonstrations based on real-life scenarios from operational environments. The aim has been to keep safety relevant, practical and connected to the work people carry out every day.
Falls from height and injuries caused by falling objects remain one of the most serious risks across many industries, including logistics and warehousing. Taking time to discuss these risks openly helps reinforce awareness and encourages people to think carefully about the environments they work in and the decisions made throughout the day.
One of the most positive parts of the week has been the level of engagement from colleagues across the business. People who carry out these roles every day often have the most valuable insight into where risks exist and how processes can be improved.
At Stiller, we believe safety works best when it becomes part of everyday conversation rather than a separate exercise. Creating an environment where teams feel comfortable speaking up, sharing observations and contributing ideas is an important part of maintaining safe operations.
No Falls Week is supported by the No Falls Foundation, a charity that provides information, support and relief to individuals and families affected by falls from height or injuries caused by falling objects. Their work supports people facing life-changing circumstances, including ill-health, disability and financial hardship following serious incidents.
To support the charity and the important work they do, we are also holding a bake sale today to help raise donations across the business.
A big thank you to everyone who has taken part during the week and contributed to making it such a positive and worthwhile initiative.
