We are looking for a Cat C+E driver for our General Haulage department.
This role is a day role with the occasional requirement for tramping, potentially 1-2 nights per week along with weekend working to meet customer / business requirements.
Driving duties will be collection and delivery work of goods to various locations throughout the UK, therefore candidates should have a good geographical knowledge of the country.
Whilst previous experience in a similar general haulage role would be preferred, full training will be provided for the role by the business. The business operates various different transport operations and a willingness to work across all transport departments to support contract requirements would be preferred.
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Hold a full UK driving licence with a Category C entitlement.
- Have no more than 3 licence penalty points.
- Have a UK Digital Tachograph Card.
- Have a current Driver Qualification (CPC) Card.
- Have good communication skills and be able to demonstrate good customer-facing skills.
Remuneration package:
Overtime for all roles is payable after 50hrs in a week where 5 days are worked, 40hrs in a week where 4 days are worked, 30hrs in a week where 3 days are worked, etc.
- CAT C+E – Day Role: Annual salary = £39,468*. Weekly salary = £758.00*
- Day Rate = £151.80*. Overtime = £15.10 /hr.
- Saturday Payment £45.00 + hours worked @ overtime rate.
- Sunday Payment £85.00 + hours worked @ overtime rate.
*Includes daily meal allowance.
20 days annual leave plus 8 statutory holidays, with paid breaks.
- ADR: £12.50 daily shift allowance paid when any ADR goods are transported by a suitably qualified driver.

- Driver Medicals: Medicals for HGV licence renewals can be arranged and paid for by the company or may be claimed as an expense.
