We are delighted to have received the Service Award at this year’s North East Business Awards for the Durham, Sunderland and South Tyneside region.
The awards show took place on March 12th at Ramside Hall Hotel, and it was a wonderful evening attended by a mixture of the Stiller team and our customers. Although we originally intended to make this a bigger night of celebration, we reduced our number of attendees in line with guidance regarding the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.
We are particularly proud to have won the Service Award as we have recently made significant reinvestments with regards to our staff development, equipment and facilities. We also have up-to-the-minute warehousing and distribution technology, as well as an in-house Customer Service team that provides dedicated account support with an enviable response time. Our high standards are also reflected in the current accreditations we hold: ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001 & FORS Silver.
As a third-generation family business, we have continued to serve customers in the North East for more than 60 years and remain regional specialists in the storage and distribution of palletised goods.
Thom Prentice, Business Development Manager at Stiller, said: “At a time when we have focused significantly on our staff, facilities, equipment and the service we deliver to our customers in recent months, and our drive to continue offering value-adding services such as our repackaging, e-fulfilment and bespoke commercial property solutions, we’re very proud to be recognised by the North East Business Awards.”
Our category included two excellent shortlisted businesses, DKS Straightforward Ltd (Business Management Consultancy) and Expedient Training Services (National Training Provider).
Stiller recently joined the Hazchem pallet distribution network and now offers the collection and delivery of Hazardous goods across the North East of England, as well as being a longstanding, shareholding member of the Palletline co-operative; an overnight palletised distribution network of 70 like-minded UK businesses.
The grand finale of the North East Business Awards, which will see Stiller shortlisted for the North East Services Award alongside the winners of the Newcastle and Teesside heats, has currently been postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
